Roatan is one of the top scuba destinations in America, the water visibility is excellent, the temperature ideal and the proximity of the reef to the shore makes this small island a prefer diving spot for divers around the world. Choosing the right company to bring you to these awesome spots is key to make you trip a memorable one.
How do you chose a diving shop?
This is a tricky question! Asking somebody for a recommendation on the island might not be ideal as many people gets commission from the dive shops when they recommend you their services. What we did we walked and see couple of the dive shops and see their boats, equipment and how they organize the dives (just a quick walk in the morning will show you their operations).
We chose Eco Divers. They are located at Half Moon Resort and I am glad we spent two lovely weeks at Roatan diving with them.
Resort Course for friends and family (non certified)
Our closest friends who are non divers and our youngest son, took the resort course and went diving with us, the instructors were great, they have the extra necessary patience to help newbies into this new beautiful diving experience. They provided 100% all equipment, including wet-suits, masks, regulator, masks, weights, tank, etc.

Besides they are located in a a quiet area inside a resort, easily reachable by foot or car. Inside this secluded resort located in Half Moon Bay, you will feel safe and with plenty of space to rest and room around, The facilities also have a restaurant and a short stair going to the sea for training, snorkeling or just having fun!
